a wise investment Review by Ian J. Winfield, Journal of Fish Biology

As its sub-title indicates, this relatively short book has a very practical focus and this is reflected in its physical production as a ring-bound, robust publication which looks like it will survive well in the bookhostile environments of most aquaculture facilities. Its practical utility is further enhanced by both of its authors being veterinarians, with one with extensive experience in marine hatcheries and one a specialist in fish diseases. As is also clear from the book's title, its coverage is primarily aimed at sea bass (Dicentrarchus labrax) and sea bream (Sparus aurata), although it is also likely to have significant relevance to other species of developing importance in aquaculture... This book clearly has a very specific audience, but within that I think that its purchase would be a wise investment by anyone involved with the aquaculture of sea bass, sea bream and related species. In addition, I suggest that it could also be read with profit by anyone involved in the research or management of fish diseases. (Posted on 18/10/2018)
